SEASONAL PUBLIC WORKS POSITIONS

The City of North Mankato is currently accepting applications for seasonal help in the Public Works Department 40 hours per week plus occasional overtime.  Positions available in the Street, Park, and Water Department.  Must have a valid driver's license.  Hourly wage between $12.00 and $13.00 an hour depending on experience.

YOUTH GOLF COACH

The City of North Mankato is searching for youth golf coaches and assistants to coach North Mankato youth.   The North Mankato Youth Golf Program follows the belief that recreational sports exist for kids to develop a love of sports, learn the importance of cooperation and teamwork, and most importantly, to have fun! We believe this is achieved through teaching fundamentals and providing each player with an equal opportunity to learn and participate while having FUN!  The North Mankato Golf Program will follow the PGA-based curriculum, The First Tee. This program is an activity-based program that uses fun, oversized, and colorful equipment. Participants will learn the game of golf and fundamentals through age developmentally appropriate games and practices.  Minimum qualification: must be 16 years of age or older and have knowledge of golf.  Must pass a background check.  Pay range $15.00- $20.00.

LIFEGUARD

SWIM FACILITY LIFEGUARD
CITY OF NORTH MANKATO, MINNESOTA

The City of North Mankato is putting together a team of lifeguards for the North Mankato Swim Facility. Job duties include ensuring the Swim Facility patrons' safety and preventing and responding to emergencies.  Desirable qualifications include AED Certification and Water Safety Instructor Certification.  Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written.  Strong problem-solving skills, self-motivated with the ability to work without supervision.  Minimum qualifications: must be 15 years of age or older—completion of lifeguard training. First aid and CPR certified.  Must pass a background check.  Pay beginning at $11 an hour and dependent upon experience.

ADULT SPORTS OFFICIAL

CAWELL SPORTS

Caswell Sports is looking for Adult Sports Officials to officiate at sand volleyball, soccer, football and softball games.  Position begins on May 3, 2021.  Hours are Monday -Thursday from approximately 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. hours may vary dependent upon need.

Summary of Duties: 
1. Officiate and control games, events, and competitions in a confident appropriate manner.
2. Ensure all participants understand and comply with game rules.
3. Make game calls with confidence and knowledge of league rules.
4. Keep track of event start times and start or stop play as necessary.
5. Officiate at sand volleyball, softball, football and soccer games.
6. Officials are expected to act and dress in a professional manner. 
7. Report issues to the Caswell Sports Director.

Qualifications:  Must be 16 years or older.  Officiating experience is preferred but Caswell Sports will provide training.

Other Information: Hourly Rate depends on experience as well as the sport that they are officiating
