Review: Thoroughly enjoyed!! Most biographical books I seem to not finish, as they tend to be alittle "boring". This was not. You are able to see the president as a human being you can relate to; not just the political side of him. I came away from the book, feeling differently about the problems between him and his wife. As brought out towards the end of the book, you come away with finding out more about FDR than you would have realized before. The struggles of being a president before/or after he was stricken with infantile poralisis (polio) and the role his one son played in his public image, was very enlightening. The environment and age he and his wife grew up in, was a contributing factor in how the public saw each of them. You will not be disappointed in reading this book!
