Snow Emergency Information

 SNOW EMERGENCY DECLARATIONS

In an effort to conserve resources and remove snow quickly and efficiently from City streets, the City of North Mankato will be calling snow emergencies.  Notice of a declared snow emergency will be given by notifying the local news media and posting on the City website, www.northmankato.com.  The “Snow Emergency Hotline” number is 625-9131.

During a declared snow emergency, no motor vehicle shall be parked on any City street.  Once a street has been plowed curb-to-curb, parking will be permitted.

Vehicles parked on City streets during a snow emergency will be ticketed and towed.  The cost of the ticket is $15 and the cost of the tow in $54.

If snow is forecast, please move your vehicle to an off-street parking area.

PLEASE DO NOT PUT SNOW FROM YOUR DRIVEWAY AND SIDEWALK ONTO THE STREET!
