The North Mankato Park Department currently consists of the Park Superintendent and 4 park maintenance workers.
The position and responsibilities of the Park Department primarily consists of daily, monthly and yearly maintenance of parks, maintenance of sidewalks, trails, ponds, lakes, boulevard and alley trees, snow removal, restroom maintenance, weed inspection as well as application, ball fields, tennis courts, volleyball courts, play ground equipment, skating rinks and the Spring Lake Park swim facility.
The Park Department maintains regional and national Caswell Softball Complex as well as a newly built Caswell Soccer Complex. The Park Department is responsible for scheduling and coordinating national, state and local tournaments for these complexes and ensuring these fields are playable and with enough staff to provide support for the tournaments.
The Park Department assists in setting up for community events such as Fun Days, Blues on Belgrade and Oktober Fest, etc.

3 Ice skating rinks (1 hockey rink)

35 dry and wet ponds or storm water outlets
2 dog friendly walking Parks
Several miles of trails connecting to City of Mankato and Minnesota River trail
Over 350 acres of green space
25 Ball field’s 6 of which are tournament level with lights
10 Soccer fields 1 tournament size with lights
8 Tennis Courts
9 Volley ball courts
2 Pickle ball courts
2 Batting cages
